Lima Dental Associates Buying Halloween Candy to Ship to Troops

Dental Office Joins with Operation Gratitude
and The Blue Star Mothers of America

November 3, 2014 – (Lima, Ohio) — Lima Dental Associates is buying back Halloween candy from area kids at the price of $1 dollar per pound for up to five pounds. The purchased candy will be packaged by Lima Dental staff and The Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc. and shipped to Operation Gratitude, where it will be distributed via care packages to U.S. Troops. The candy “buy back” is in effect from now through 10 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014. Families can stop by the dental practice, located at 2115 Allentown Road, Lima, Ohio (next to Kewpee) Monday-Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to sell their candy.

“We are very happy to be part of the Operation Gratitude effort,” said Lima Dental Clinical Director, Steven E. Todd. “And speaking of gratitude, we are very grateful for our troops and the service they provide for all of us. We also appreciate all the kids and families that will contribute, and the help of the Blue Star Mothers of America in packaging the candy for the troops. Not to mention, all the cavities that may be avoided,” he added.
