Dental implants are a great option for people who have lost a single tooth or several teeth due to accident, injury, disease, and other reasons. A Dental implant looks and feels like a natural tooth. Implants are permanent and stable. Whether a tooth was lost yesterday or years ago, implant dentistry may be a great option.

How long does a dental implant last?

Success rates of implants are very high. With no complications we expect a dental implant to last a lifetime. A healthy diet, good oral hygiene, and regular dental checkups are necessary to ensure your dental implant remains healthy and stable.

How is a dental implant placed?

There are several different types of implants available to use. For standard implant placement, a surgical incision will be made and a titanium post will be placed into the jaw bone. That post is then covered back up and allowed to heal for up to 6 months. Once healing has occurred the implant can be uncovered and a tooth will be made to place upon the post.

How long does the implant process take to complete?

Each patient heals differently so times can vary anywhere from 6 months to 1 year from start to finish.

What is the cost of a dental implant?
Typically the cost of a dental implant is similar to that of a dental bridge. The great thing about dental implants is that they stand alone and do not rely on neighboring teeth for support.
